Come and See…

John 1:39

Do you have a child currently in 2nd-12th grade? Come and See what a day in the life of a Lumen Christi Academy student is like!

Your child will be shadowing a current Lumen Christi student for the day, attending the Mass of the Ages, observing Socratic Dialogues, and taking part in what everyday life is like for an Academy student.

What are Come and See days?

It is a day where any child currently in 2nd-12th grade will come to Lumen Christi for a day and shadow a current Academy student.

Are there only set dates that my child can attend a Come and See day?

No, we have a few “big” come-and-see days throughout the school year, however, we are able to have a come-and-see day for your child on almost any school day. Please reach out to admissions@lumenchristiacademy.org for more details.

What grade level does my child need to be in to attend a Come and See?

Current 2nd -12th graders are welcome to attend a Come and See day at the Academy. We are a 3rd-12th school, so this gives 2nd-grade students the opportunity to see what the year will be like.

Is the Come and See part of the admissions process?

Yes! There are two main reasons that Lumen Christi Academy does this: 1) The faculty can meet your child and evaluate if they would be a good fit in the school. 2) Your child can meet other students who will potentially be their classmates, and your child can see what everyday life is like for students at Lumen Christi.

Does my child need to bring anything to a Come and See?

Your child will not need to bring anything to a Come and See. However, we do recommend that your child brings a water bottle to stay hydrated, and a book to read when Academy Students have independent study. We will provide a light breakfast and a full lunch.

Is technology allowed?

If your child has a phone, at the beginning of the school day, we will ask that it be turned off and stored for the remainder of the day. If a parent needs to get in contact with their child, they may call the school.

Do you have more questions?

Please reach out to our Administrative Assistant at admissions@lumenchristiacademy.org

What are the next steps for enrollment after a Come and See day?

After your child has attended a come-and-see day, our administrative assistant will reach out to you, the parent, and discuss moving forward with the application process.
